This post and beam house was built in the 80s and heavily under the influence of the style of the time with natural wood interior trim & balusters and a laminate kitchen tucked behind the chimney with no view of the water.
AFTER 〉
We moved the entry out of the dark corner and gave it a place of prominence at the middle of the house. The kitchen was relocated so it takes advantage of the view and becomes part of the activity.

The stairs now descend with a view of the new fireplace and the master bedroom suite entrance is no longer next to the front door.The sunroom and the deck were enlarged to allow for large gatherings overlooking the tree tops and tidal creek.
